Barça Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Stadium Testing
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
