The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete boasts substantial online presence
Kai Trump will have numerous prominent cheerleaders when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns numerous international courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to play and have fun," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in only three events recently and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's a superior individual. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that her participation helps introduce the sport to new audiences, especially reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains a massive following and recently launched a personal fashion and living label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
